The tie takeover – climbing edition

It seems that whenever I start a new life activity I somehow incorporate ties into it. The first time this happened was when I was in college and had to carry around books everywhere I went, so of course I made a sturdy book bag.

The second instance of a tie takeover was when I was practicing yoga almost every day and was tired of carrying around my yoga mat in my arms. This introduced my first – and so far, only – yoga mat bag (more on this later … I have some grand ideas for yoga mat bags).

My most recent infiltration of ties began when I started rock climbing regularly. The most common accessory for climbing is a chalk bag, used to hold chalk so your hands don’t get too sweaty and you can grasp the rocks without slipping. Inspired by all the different creative bags at the gym, I made my own!
